Both Newcastle United and Turkish giants Fenerbahce had been linked with moves for the 29-year-old this summer.
A tweet from the club’s social media department may have just put those rumours to bed, however, with a picture of Gibbs wearing the number three shirt surfacing…
Gibbs has played 74 times at the Hawthorns, across both the Premier League and the Championship, since joining the club from Arsenal in a £7m deal.
And it appears many of the Baggies support would like to keep him at the club with one fan asking the club to stop advertising the fact he’s still here in case any other team sees and then launches a bid for him. Another supporter told the club to keep it shut as he is flying under the radar.
A further fan said that they were so glad to keep hold of him, as one suggested that he’s the best left-back in the league, praising his and the team’s pace.
