da dobrowin: Fulham fans will be disappointed at the manner of defeat as the Cottagers were thrashed 5-1 by Arsenal at the weekend.
da bwin: Slavisa Jokanovic spent heavily in the summer, but his Fulham side are yet to produce the goods on the field. Fulham simply couldn’t handle Arsenal’s attackers with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette causing problems throughout the affair. The result leaves Fulham 17th in the Premier League with their lowest points total ever in a Premier League season after eight games.
With Timothy Fosu-Mensah currently sidelined with an injury, Fulham would be wise to target a right-back when the January transfer window reopens. With the Cottagers struggling defensively, a move for Liverpool defender, Nathaniel Clyne, would be a smart move.
Valued at £18m by Transfermarkt, the former England international has struggled with injury in recent seasons and has slipped down the pecking order at Anfield. His injury allowed Trent Alexander-Arnold to make the right-back role his own and Clyne was overlooked at the weekend with Klopp opting to use Joe Gomez instead. With his route back into the first-team blocked, an exit may be the only move.
Clyne remains a top defender with a vast amount of Premier League experience that could be extremely useful to Jokanovic’s side. With over 170 appearances in the division, he would add some much-needed stability to the back four. Still only 27-years-old, Clyne has many years left at the highest level.
Liverpool are unlikely to command a huge fee for his services given his bit-part role at the club, if he can put his injury troubles behind him, it would be a masterstroke signing.
Fulham fans, thoughts?
