da betsson: West Ham United are stepping up their pursuit of Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart, according to Sky Sports.
What’s the word?
da premier bet: The Hammers have been among the clubs regularly linked to the England international.
It has been clear that Hart will move on from the two-time Premier League champions after Pep Guardiola farmed him out on loan to Torino last summer.
Sky Sports claimed that City want to sell Hart, but West Ham are more keen on a loan deal with an option to buy.
Last season, Adrian and Darren Randolph shared the responsibility between the sticks, with the former starting 16 Premier League games, and his teammate in the first XI for 22 fixtures.
Is Hart the best option?
A few years ago, it would have been a no-brainer for plenty of clubs to grab Hart if he were made available.
However, his recent performances, particularly on an international level with England, have shown that he can be prone to mistakes.
With regards to West Ham’s current situation, the 30-year-old would be an improvement on what the club currently have.
He would edge ahead of any potential targets from overseas as he is more than familiar with the Premier League.
Despite not being deemed good enough for City anymore, Hart will provide a strong protection at the back for West Ham.
