da winzada777: Newcastle United picked up a much-needed 3-2 win against West Ham United at the London Stadium on Saturday, and Magpies fans were quick to react to what was a rare start and appearance for Henri Saivet.
da bet nacional: The 27-year-old had only made five outings in all competitions for the Tyneside outfit since joining them in 2015 prior to the trip to east London, but manager Rafa Benitez selected the Frenchman in his starting XI alongside Mo Diame in the centre of the park.
It looked as though it might be a decision that wasn’t going to work out when Saivet gave the ball away in the lead up to Marko Arnautovic’s early goal for the hosts, but he bounced back well and scored a fine free-kick to bring his team level four minutes later.
A first victory in 10 took Newcastle out of the relegation zone, and supporters took to social media to have their say on Saivet’s display.
While one said “well and truly ate my words today” having seen the 27-year-old in the team, another said the midfielder was “awful on the ball but covered space well”.
