da fezbet: Everton are pondering a move for Liverpool striker Divock Origi to solve their striker woes, according to Turkish publication Aksam.
What’s the word?
da imperador bet: Marco Silva made some good acquisitions in the summer transfer window, but the team have struggled with a lack of firepower up front.
Cenk Tosun and Oumar Niasse, in particular, have failed to inspire in front of goal.
In fact, the former has netted just once this season while his teammate is yet to get off the mark.
According to Turkish media outlet Aksam, the Toffees have turned their attention to Origi, who has dropped down the pecking order at Liverpool
The 23-year-old is yet to make an appearance this season under Jurgen Klopp.
Is Origi the right fit for Everton?
There is no doubt that the Merseyside outfit need a reliable goalscorer up front, but it is difficult to see how Origi fits the bill
The Belgian has made 77 appearances for the Reds since his 2015 switch from Lille, but he has only found the back of the net 21 times.
In fairness to the forward he is only 23 years old, but he has had enough experience in the Premier League to be judged.
Origi is capable of firing in the goals for Silva’s team, but he has not proven that he can be reliable up front, therefore Everton could be in danger of recruiting another frustrating frontman.
