da apostebet: Harry Redknapp believes that Chelsea’s credentials will be tested next season when they have European football to contend with.
da spicy bet: Antonio Conte sealed the Premier League crown in his first year at the club, and the team did it with three games to spare.
Tottenham Hotspur were the closest challengers to the Blues, but their pursuit was derailed when they suffered a 1-0 defeat to West Ham United.
Conte turned things around for Chelsea early in the season after his players suffered back-to-back defeats to Liverpool and Arsenal.
The Italian switched the formation to 3-4-3 and they never looked back, losing just three more times in the league.
Chelsea benefitted from not playing in Europe this season, but they will have to juggle the demands of domestic commitments and the Champions League.
Redknapp, who is the current manager of Birmingham City, believes that the 2017-18 campaign will not go as smoothly for Chelsea as he thinks that the likes of Manchester United, Arsenal and Manchester City will improve.
The 70-year-old wrote in the London Evening Standard:
“It was a fantastic achievement for Chelsea to win the League in Antonio Conte’s first year. Next year, the competition will be hotter. The two Manchester clubs and Arsenal will improve, while the Blues also have Champions League football to contend with, which will make things more difficult. Their squad will be tested far more with European football.”
