da betobet: Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has hinted that Juan Foyth could start Wednesday’s EFL Cup clash with West Ham United.
da jogodeouro: Foyth, 19, joined Tottenham from Estudiantes in the summer, and the centre-back has made one appearance for the English club this season.
His only outing came in the League Cup against Barnsley in September, and he has not been involved in either the Premier League or Champions League this term.
Pochettino has confirmed that he is considering selecting Foyth for Wednesday’s clash with West Ham, and the Spurs manager wants the teenager to prove himself in a bid to secure more regular action.
Pochettino told Sky Sports:
“Juan Foyth maybe has the possibility to play too. He is young, but he needs to show why he is here because, in the future, maybe some players would be suspended or injured, and we need to play with him, and he needs to be decisive.”
Foyth, who is valued at £4.5m by transfermarkt.co.uk, signed a five-year contract with Tottenham upon his arrival during the summer transfer window.
Spurs will attempt to book their spot in the quarter-finals of the League Cup on Wednesday night, before travelling to Manchester United in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
